Xanthus: The Story

"Many, many years ago, with an army of more than one million marching towards them, the Xanthian army retreated into their city, destroyed their acropolis and killed their wives and children. Then, as the city burned behind them, they marched out again to meet their enemy and their destiny.

The city of Xanthus only survived because a small number of families were absent when the war began. These families had fled into the great Sand Storms to the east and returned to their ruined city after the invaders had left. Over the generations that followed the walls and buildings of Xanthus were rebuilt, an age of darkness descended on the world outside, and Xanthus became isolated.

Today, evil and, powerful creatures control of the wilds beyond the city's walls and they come closer every day."
